Merry & Bright

Get ready for a flood of holiday themed cards!

This card was made with mostly Echo Park products. Simple but festive – I used this snowflake print from their “Here Comes Santa Claus” paper collection and the Merry & Bright tag comes from Echo Park|Carte Bella “Hello Christmas” line.

The snowflake die cuts match the snowflakes on the printed paper and the whole thing is bordered by Craft Perfect mirror card. A detail that is impossible to see here is that I painted some iridescent shimmer onto the snow flakes which is very pretty in real life.

I have a lot of cards to post…

I have not been active on this website in over a year but I have still been crafting. I am working on getting up-to-date on card photos and then maybe I will show a peek at my newly designed craft room (yes, I changed it again).

Here are a few cards for now…

Happy Anniversary card for my parents. This card was with a Theroweb|Unity toner card. I foiled it using the Minc in a Brutus Monroe foiled called “Purple Sketch” and then colored the flowers with Copic markers. It is bordered by a purple mirror card by Craft Perfect.

Birthday card! It is impossible to see it in the photo but the main design is bordered with a white glitter cardstock. There is also glitter on the candle. Cupcake is a die set by My Favorite Things and scalloped frame is a die by Lawn Fawn. The ‘Sweet Wishes’ stamp came from Stampin’ Up’s “Hello Cupcake” set. I will be making more in this style soon!

Thinking of You

Some brands just go nicely on the same card and others are completely different from one another. In this case, I combined brands that I would typically never consider putting together: The Ton (large florals and more realistic stamp.

Here are the elements that make up this card….

The Ton “Sweet Folk Hummingbird”: large floral stamp and hummingbird.

Lawn Fawn “Wavy Sayings” & “Fancy Wavy Banners”: sentiment and banner die cut

Lawn Fawn “Fancy Lattice Backdrop”: background piece

Copic Markers: Y15, RV11, R83, RV34 (flowers). G05, G14 (leaves and stems). E71, G02, BG13, BG49, YR21 (hummingbird).

Stampin’ Up!: Very Vanilla cardstock

Other: A shimmery cardstock similar in shade to very vanilla – this was used for the backdrop die cut. Also a slight hint of shimmer from a Nuvo Gloss marker on the body of the humming bird. Momento black ink.

What brands have you mixed together?
